The Boat Dinghy

"This is a boat, pretend the sand is water.  You can make this boat by using wood and wood glue, and you need twine.  You can put twine on a little piece of the boat and unwrap the twine, it is a fun toy for big kids, little kids, and grown ups."

This is My Special Garden

You need toys that are realistic, including bugs, fish, amphibians, and reptiles and you can do it any style that you want.

Robot Snake on the Sand

"This is a robot snake. If you notice the things on his back, those are wings. If you want to come and see him at our house, you will not see him with wings.  And, he is very quick to make and do not rush if you want it quicker."

Same Shrew, Flying

"He is still wearing his parachute.  Pretend the hand's not there."  --Dinko

Black Shrew on a Fence

This is a shrew ready for take-off.  (He is wearing a parachute... see next picture, he will be flying).

Zoey the Electric Moray Eel

We were inspired by the fake fur to make an eel.  The small fins are made of felt.  Other materials: fake fur, permanent marker, googly eyes, hot glue.

Osprey

We were starting to make a submarine but then Dinko noticed that it looked like a bird.  So we turned it into this osprey.  Materials: tinfoil, newspaper, tape, markers, stickers, bead, pipe cleaner.

Little Baby Barn Owl, Toucan, Turkey

We made Little Baby Barn Owl after getting inspired by the exhibits at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum.  Materials: cotton balls, tape, permanent markers, tinfoil, and newspaper.

 Toucan-- clay + paint.

"Turkey to roast."  The plate was Dinko's idea for the photograph.

Mr. Squidmupod-- today's project.

Kitchen glove, googly eyes, card for the whale tail, markers, tape, and hot glue.  "If you have a baby you can let your baby or your kid play with this."

Welcome Message from Dinko and Diana

Dear friends,

Dinko and his studio assistants (Mom and Dad) are going to try this as a way to share some of our recent art projects.  If people are interested, we'll do how-tos.

Thanks for reading!
